Environmental measures by promoting the use of public transportation

The Kyushu Sanko Group, in collaboration with bus operators in Kumamoto Prefecture, regularly holds "Kumamoto Prefecture Bus and Train Free Day (100 yen for adults)" with the aim of alleviating traffic congestion and reducing CO2 emissions by promoting the use of public transportation and improving convenience. (October,November, December 2022) Each event is organized differently, but it is held in cooperation with bus operators in Kumamoto Prefecture and the Kumamoto City Transportation Bureau. On the opening day of SAKURA MACHI Kumamoto in 2019, the "Kumamoto Prefecture Bus and Train Free Day" had an environmental effect of about 91 tons of CO2 reduction in one day (equivalent to 6,498 CO2 respiration per year of cedar trees).
We will continue to enhance the usefulness of public transportationand reaffirm the convenience of public transportation among citizens,which will lead to regional revitalization and environmental initiatives.
