Sustainability Policy

The HIS Group aims to contribute to the development of a more sustainable society as well as to enhance the corporate value of the entire group, by developing a wide range of businesses centered on travel in keeping with its purpose of "Unleash your feeling 'KOKORO ODORU': Being interested, excited, and having a desire", encounters with uncharted worlds, connections with people, enriched times, "Waku-waku" (Excitement), elation, and thoughts on peace. For people around the world to be able to "be inspired," we need a society where they can live in peace through mutual understanding that transcends such things as nationality, race, culture, and religion, and a healthy global environment that provides a foundation for plants and animals, including human beings, to live in. Thus, HIS Group and HIS Group staff members wish to be the company and individuals who make an impact by "unleashing" our "inspiring" thoughts in various ways, such as delivering, sharing, embracing, raising, and leading. A healthy global environment, including society, nature and culture, is the foundation of the HIS Group's business. We are conscious of coexistence and co-prosperity with society, nature, and culture, and will connect to the future of the coming generation, by sincerely addressing environmental and social issues through our business.

Message from the CEO

CEO Motoshi Yada In our 40th year anniversary, we were hit by the COVID pandemic, which we used as an opportunity to begin formulating the HIS Group Purpose. The HIS Group Purpose "Unleash your feeling 'KOKORO ODORU': Being interested, excited, and having a desire" was established as a guideline for a sustainable company that will continue to prosper into the future, while reaffirming the spirit (origin) of our foundation by looking back on our business activities to date. We felt the need to establish the values that the HIS Group should share across the Group so that we can achieve both solutions to social issues and sustainable growth for the company itself, and to create a common language that the HIS Group and its stakeholders can identify with. Nevertheless, the basic prerequisite for people around the world to be able to "be inspired" is a society in which they can live in peace through mutual understanding that transcends such things as nationality, race, culture, and religion, and a healthy global environment that provides a foundation for plants and animals, including human beings, to live in. The travel industry, our livelihood, is a peaceful industry. Through travel, we will work to preserve the health of the Earth's environment, and by providing opportunities for people to experience local customs and cultures in Japan and abroad, we will promote mutual understanding and respect, which will help to promote world peace. In addition, we will not limit ourselves to just the travel industry in the future, but we are now also developing business a materiality plan based on non-travel business areas in order to build a business portfolio that we aim to achieve within the next five years. We believe that our continued implementation of the HIS Group Purpose will enhance our corporate value and contribute to sustainable management.
